Born in Canada, his father was a banker and mother was a painter. He has two elder brothers and one younger sister; he was good in academics and actively takes part in plays and dramas, both in school and college. Due to his attractive personality and brilliant physique Smiley Sansoni was always offered lead role in almost all plays in college.
After completing his studies, he worked in various companies as a financial advisor and earned nice salary. He faced sudden death of his mother and then decided to live his life completely, without bothering about financial safety and left his job.
Smiley Sansoni tries his luck in a family show and got selected, the show was based on a intense love triangle, he was though not the one whom the lead actress choose, however successfully steals the heart of millions, who loved him for his calm character as he offered his life for the sake of his beloved.
Due to his intense role, he was offered distinguished roles like the role of a sailor who was struck in the dark blue ocean with his dog. Smiley Sansoni performance in this story bought tears in the eyes of people and they can’t forget the last scene of the movie when they both see the land and hugged and cried severely. This movie earned Oscar in the year 1994.
